Language Arts for Sonlight 300 Optional Workbooks Set
From level D and up, Sonlight links Language Arts instruction and assignments in the History / Bible / Literature program. Level 300 comes with Literary Analysis and Creative Writing programs built in.
The Instructor's Guide offers two Creative Writing assignments with instructions each week: a skills-builder and a more content-oriented assignment.
The skills-builders help with everything from defi ning your purpose and outlining a paper, to creating smooth transitions in time frames, to eliminating the passive voice. The content-oriented assignments help solidify what students are studying in the History program.
We do not include a formal grammar program in the Language Arts 340 package. If you want to continue your studies of grammar, we recommend (continued) use of Winston Grammar--Advanced (7L20) and/or study of The LATIN Road to English Grammar (RL57). If you purchase the latter program, you can skip Vocabulary from Classical Roots B (340-20).
