Nearly a year after World War II broke out in Europe, the Norwegian freighter Bomma reached Baltimore with a cargo of gold bullion worth $9 million.

The captain said the gold had been smuggled past Nazi sentries by Norwegian boys and girls! Was it really? 50 years later, no one knows. But this is how it might have happened.
